Quinoa is a round-shaped seed rich in complete protein source because it contains all 9 essential amino acids. Besides being a protein source, it is also a good source of lysine amino acid, which is essential for tissue growth and repair. During the last several years, nutritionists have been referring to quinoa as being a meat substitute of the future. It contains numerous vitamins and minerals and has a high fiber content. Recommended consumption: before use, wash the quinoa and cover it with water in a ratio 1 : 2-2,5, add salt and wait until boiling, lower the temperature, and cover with a lid for 10-15 minutes to soak up the water and soften. It is suitable for cooking on its own, in combination with meat and vegetables, in salads, soups and bread.
